Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a renewable fuel made from vegetable oils, animal fats or used cooking oil through transesterification. Composed of fatty acid methyl esters, it can be blended with diesel for use in existing engines, offering lower lifecycle emissions and improved lubricity, though it faces constraints around feedstock availability, carbon intensity and long-term storage stability.
